Concrete Umbrella is an award-winning artist’s book exploring parental emotion.
Inspired by the cut-up poetry technique, the poems were created by taking words from a child’s special educational needs report and rearranging them into poetic verse, transforming clinical language into an intimate and emotionally charged narrative.
The project won a Silver Creative Conscience Award in 2025.
